An Outing with Grace (06-26-11)

On Sunday morning we picked this happy face up and headed to church. Grace did great in the nursery! Afterwards we headed to Cracker Barrel for some pancakes. I wouldn't exactly call it nutritious but it was a great end to a fun morning!

Visit with The Holders (06-17-11-06-18-11)

I headed up to Charlotte to see this cute face...We headed to Mama Ricotta's for dinner which is delicious. They have some of the best bruschetta I have ever had!

The next morning I was able to help give Samantha a bath! Anne Marie said she has not been a fan of the bath in the past but she seemed to enjoy it that day. She must have been trying to impress me.

One clean burrito... Seriously, where did all of this hair come from?

I loved holding her and jiggling her legs to make her laugh.

She thought it was so funny!

We headed to Big Daddy's for a great burger and salad. Samantha slept through the entire meal. Don't worry I ate her tator tots for her so they did not go to waste (this is a sign of a good aunt).

After lunch we headed out to run a few errands.

Joey and Anne Marie took me to Nikko- one of my favorite sushi spots in Charlotte. Look at this cute new family...

It was a perfect way to end a great trip!

Chapin Getaway Weekend (06-11-11 to 06-12-11)

Last Saturday Adam and I headed to the Chapin Lakehouse for a little rest and relaxation. It was so nice to "get away" even though it is only about 15 minutes from our house. The above picture is Adam doing pretty much what we did most of the time.

Saturday evening my mom, dad, Aunt Ruth, Aunt Renee, and Courtney came over. We hopped in the boat and headed to Rusty Anchor Marina for dinner. It was so neat to boat over to dinner. The weather was great and the company was even better.

Dad and Mom enjoying the ride...

We slept in and the next day we just enjoyed the lake...and the watermelon, of course!

It was a great weekend and I hope to go back very soon!

You can't tell me that this is not be best picture in the world! Samantha turned 7 weeks while on vacation at the beach.

Lake Day with our Small Group (06-05-11)

Our small group (minus Seth and Theresa) headed to the Chapin lakehouse to enjoy the beautiful Sunday afternoon. Here Adam and Brian are looking very pensive and Will looking as cheerful as always...Will and Kelly floating around on their double float with a cooler in the middle.

It was a great way to end the weekend! I look forward to many more fun times with this group!

Newly Renovated Chapin Lakehouse

Cyndi recently renovated the Chapin Lakehouse. She did such a great job so I just had to share. She changed the flooring, couches, and completely renovated the bathroom. It looks awesome!

Adam and I are planning to spend a lot of time here this summer!

Southern Strutt Tap Recital (05-28-11)

For the second year in a row I headed to The Koger Center for my tap recital. This year was different because not only did I have Taylor in my class but this year, Hope was also in the class.

I honestly can't believe that I actually participated in the class again. Last year I was filled with worry that I wouldn't be able to keep up or that I would mess up during the recital. But the recital went smoothly and when it came time to sign up again last fall I was in line with the rest of them. I am so glad that I did. This year was a blast. It was also so nice to know that I would see Hope and Taylor every Tuesday!

The Adult Tap Class with our fabulous teacher, Alton!

Adam was my official photographer. In this picture you can see myself, DeLynn, Taylor, Leigh, and Hope.

After the recital...

Alton is the best part of our tap class! He works us hard but always keeps us laughing.

Thames Family Picnic (05-15-11)

On May 15, 2011 we headed out to Sesquecentennial Park for an afternoon picnic. Kimberly and Jeremy Koch were in town and Aunt Ruth had a great idea to put a picnic together. We had such a nice time sitting around and catching up. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.

Blake was our "Grillin' King" for the picnic! Here he is walking with Caroline...

It was so wonderful to see Kim and Jeremy. Since they live in Africa we don't get to see them as much as we would like. It was so nice to catch up with them. It always make me wish they lived closer. The new parents, Anne Marie and Joey came from Charlotte to show off their new addition. It was the first time most of the family met her...

A proud Aunt Tephie holding Samantha...In case you are wondering, she is squealing with excitement in this picture...

We had such a wonderful time spending time together. The weather could not have been more beautiful. I am so glad that Aunt Ruth planned the picnic- it was such a good idea. I am already looking forward to the next time we can all get together!
