Dowell...just being Dowell...getting up after being "iced"

The Newlyweds...
Captain's ready to go
Stansell jumping off of the boat...

Brotherly Love?
Shanley, Dowell, and Largen (notice how Largen is blowing in Dowell's ear...seriously, that is what he is doing)
Elizabeth, Gaither, Lauren, Kimmel, and Tanya
The guys made Beaufort Bog for dinner on Saturday night. I felt it would be appropriate for Lily to get in on the action.
The chefs

Don't worry there was enough food for everyone :)
The guys stole the composite picture from their senior year which was hanging in their fraternity house. They brought it down for the weekend and it quickly became the centerpiece of our decor!
Here is a close up of the picture
Adam as a Senior in College (2005)
At the end of the weekend it was Stansell's turn to hang it up in his house. Adam was a bit sad that it was leaving...me? not so much.
Here is the entire group lookin' a bit rough on Sunday morning...

I am already looking forward to the next time we will all be together which will be in a few weeks when we head to Largen's beachhouse in Carolina Beach!

Miss Kate Turn's One! (06-18-10)

Anne's cutie patootie, Kate.
Look at those big blue eyes just like her momma!
Giving Mommy Kisses...
Kate had her first birthday party on June 19. Unfortunately, I was not able to make it because we had company that weekend but I was able to make her birthday cake for her. Anne and Kate came over the day before to pick it up.
-
Kate LOVES to read...well, I guess she can't technically read but she does love books...
Here I am with the birthday girl...
Anne wanted to have a "Shabby Chic" themed birthday party. The colors on the cake match the invitation and the inside of the cake was blue.

Anne, we have come a long way since high school and college. It is hard to believe that husbands and kids are now a regular part of conversation. I love you so much and I look forward to watching your beautiful daughter grow up.

Uncle Jim and Halley Visit (06-14-10)

On 06-14-10, my mom's brother, Jim, and his daughter, Halley, came to visit. They live in Atlanta and we do not get to see them very often. Unfortunately, his wife Wendy was not able to come. They lived in Knoxville when I attended graduate school at the University of Tennessee so I was able to watch Halley grow up during that time. She was about two years old when she coined the term "Tephie" which has stuck for my own neices and nephews.
-
We had them over for the famous Parrish Fish Dish with the fish Adam caught over Memorial Day weekend. Halley was a great help in the kitchen and did most of the cooking. I wish they lived closer so I could see her more often.

I hope we get to see them again soon!

Hardee Brunch and Parrish Father's Day (06-13-10)

On June 13, mom, Anne Marie, Joey, and I headed over to Ruth's house. My cousin, Kimberly, and her husband, Jeremy, live in Ethiopia and were in town to visit. Blake, Rebecca, and Caroline headed down from Simpsonville to visit too.
-
Gamma and Caroline...
This week Kimberly was able to meet her niece for the first time!
I can't even imagine how she must have felt holding her for the first time

Mom, Anne Marie, and I...
After the brunch, Adam and I headed home to get ready to celebrate Father's Day with his dad. Ed was going out of town on the actual day so we were all getting together the Sunday before Father's Day.

Everyone came over to our house for a cookout!

Happy Birthday Ley (06-04-10)

Ley graciously invited Adam and I to celebrate his birthday with his family. We met at the Rooftop Bar in Columbia to have some drinks before dinner.
-
Siblings...I love them...
We ate dinner at Ley's favorite place, Hampton Street Vineyard. After dinner we headed to a bar in 5 points to meet up with other people ready to celebrate Ley's 27 years!
-
Tracy and I (with extremely large 80's hair)...
Clary and Adam...

Ley, I love you so much. Happy Birthday. I hope to celebrate many more with you...
