"Umm At" went the little green frog one day...

One of the things that Adam and I bought Grace for Christmas was a frog pool. Mason and Kelly are in the process of reconstructing their yard so when I asked Kelly if she has had a chance to set it up yet she asked if we could do it at our house. Of course, I squealed and had to set up a date as soon as possible. That date turned out to be yesterday. We waited until the evening since it has been so stinkin' hot outside. The size of the pool was perfect and Grace seemed to love it. Below is a picture of grace trying to eat the goldfish crackers out of the pool.
I just love this frog.
We told Grace that she was going to have to "kiss a lot of frogs" in her lifetime so she might as well start now! Below is her first one...
We put some play toys in the water and that seemed to keep her entertained.
We decided to pour water on her and it was the funniest thing. I captured a video of it and downloaded it below. She really loved having the water run down her face and kept telling me to "go" but her facial expressions were as if she was in pain.

Things I'm Lovin' Right Now...

So here are some things that I am lovin' right now.

I bought my first Coach purse two weeks ago. I love that the color goes with anything and that it converts to a shoudler strap.

I recently bought the shoes below. They have been so much fun to wear. Although they do have a time limit :) I wore the black one's to Rebekah's bachelorette party on Friday and the pewter colored ones to Jason and Lauren's wedding and they were both a big hit.

Adam bought the Wii and the Wii fit for my birthday last month (my birthday is actually in December but we were in the middle of buying a house and getting a present was a bit trivial). It was so sweet that he bought it for me and told me it was a 6 month late birthday present. (His birthday is coming up next month so I am pretty sure that he wanted to ensure he recieved a gift). Either way, I was happy to recieve it. It is so much fun. I am not a Nintendo type of person but I love that with this game you get off your couch and play a game. I have been trying to do it on a regular basis. If you are looking for something fun and active I would definately recommend it.

Adam and I went to Bassett Furniture the other day and bought the rug below. We have really needed a rug but I couldn't seem to fing the one I wanted...until now. I saw this one when I was at the Bassett Furniture up in Charlotte and took Adam to go see it. It is huge (9 ft 6 in x 13 ft 1 in) but it fits really well in the great room. It is great to have something soft under my tootsies rather than hardwood.

If you like key lime pie, you will LOVE the mango key lime pie they have at Publix. Seriously, it is delicious. It sounds like a crazy combination but it is so good. I could eat the entire pie in one sitting if Adam would let me :)

Bachelorette Party + A Wedding = A Busy Weekend

The weekend started out with Rebekah's bachelorette party. Rebekah was one of my roommates my senior year. She just got her master's in art education and is moving to Columbia. She is getting married in July and I am an honorary bridesmaid. The wedding is in Kershaw, SC.
Saturday, we got up early and drove to Charlotte, NC. I took Adam to one of my favorite sushi bars up there. It was delicious. Then we headed to my sister's house to get ready for the wedding. One of Adam's fraternity brothers from NC State was getting married. The wedding was at Myers Park Methodist Church. We made it just in time for the wedding to start so we were sitting in the very back. Due to our location, Adam took the opportunity to high five the groom on his way out of the church with his new bride!
The reception was at Charlotte City Club. They had a great band from Atlanta called "The Maxx." We danced all night! One of my sorority sisters, Erin Edgar, was at the wedding. It is crazy what a small world it is.
Here are the guys with the groom, Chris Gaither, in the middle.
Below is a picture of all of the dates (Miranda, Kate, Tonya, and I).
Below is my favorite picture of the weekend.
After the wedding was over, we all went to Braswell's Pub. I was sitting across the small table and tried to take the picture over my head and behind me to fit everyone in (that is why Kyle Bever is making the "I don't think this is going to work but I'll cheese anyways" face)!
We stayed at my sister's house up in Charlotte which worked out great. It was such a busy weekend but everyone had a great time! We are looking forward to seeing the group the end of July when we head to Carolina Beach.

Michael Jackson just beat it...

So, I just heard the news that Michael Jackson unexpectely passed away today at the age of 50 due to a cardiac arrest. I am aware that one day we will all leave this earth but it is shocking when it happens unexpectedly.

Jackson was planning to start touring again this summer. I actually talked to Adam about wanting to try to go to one of his concerts. Although, he named himself the 'King of Pop' he really is an icon of this generation.

Okay... so he bleached his skin, and allegedly touched little boys, and named his last child Prince Blanket, he has made an unbelievable mark on the music industry. Who doesn't jump up when they are out and hear Triller or start to snap to the intro of Billy Jean? He will forever be a music legend and will be missed for his musical ingenuity. Jackson will live forever through the music he has left behind. Tomorrow is promised to no one!

Molly's Birthday Celebration

My friend Molly turned 26 yesterday. I was up in Charlotte for work so I was able to go to dinner with her to celebrate. We went to Sullivan's Steakhouse. It is pretty much the most amazing restaurant (definately in my top 3). Adam and I went to the one in Raleigh after we got engaged. This time I got the 22 oz. bone-in ribeye (appropriately named "the cowboy"). It was delicious although I'm pretty sure the cow population has decreased by a significant number after seeing that huge hunk of meat on my plate. I did not get home from Charlotte until very late but it was definately worth it. Molly and I grew up in the same neighborhood, attended the same elementary school, middle school, high school, and college. We also joined the same sorority at Clemson. Below is a picture of us when she was in Columbia (before I cut my hair).

Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Cone

Lauren and Jason got married on Saturday. We drove from the Isle of Palms to go to the wedding and then we drove back to the beach to finish out our weekend. Lauren and I graduated from Irmo together and Jason and I grew up going to the same church. They both attended our wedding a few years back but didn't really know each other. They had a beautiful wedding at Lexington Baptist Church. We were able to see a lot of our friends. Below is a picture of Kenny Williamson, Jason Cone, and I. Kenny and I grew up in the same neighborhood. Adam played with Jason and Kenny on the same flag football team last fall for our church.

Below is a picture of some of the "Irmo Girls" that attended the wedding. From Left to Right (Cassi Odom, Whitney Livingston, Clary Powell, Lauren Moore Cone, Mandy Gerald, Tracey Ammons, Heather Blau Johnson, me, and Kim Campbell)

Isle of Palms Weekend

Adam's parents have a condo in Isle of Palms. It has been so great to have a place at the beach to visit. All eleven of us went down this weekend to relax and spend some time together.
We celebrated Tripp's 30th birthday (my brother-in-law) while we were together.
Grace had fun playing with all of her aunts and uncles.
We spent a lot of time at the pool.

Benson Turns Two Years Old

Thursday was Benson's 2nd birthday party. It was at his favorite place, Monkey Joe's! Above is his "cheese face." He is growing up so fast. The paparazzi was at the party so there was no way to get a clear shot of him so I stole the pictures from Kelli (thanks)
It was great to see Kelli, Jessica, and Brooke as well.

Baby Kate's Arrival!

One of my wonderful friends, Anne, had her baby yesterday. A beautiful healthy girl who was 7 pounds and 2 ounces. Anne and I have been friends since she moved to Columbia in 9th grade. We went to Clemson together as well. She joined the Clemson dance team (the rally cats) our freshman year but our sophmore year she decided she would also joing a sorority. She rushed Zeta Tau Alpha and I, of course, pulled some strings to have her be my "little sister." It was great to have another lasting bond to keep us together. Below is baby Kate at about 10 hours old!
Presenting the new Cromer Family! Anne was such a trooper during the delivery. She apparently did not have an epidural and was in tremendous pain. She was exhausted when we arrived at the hospital but still looked fantastic. They are so proud of their little miracle.
Below is the gift basket that Adam and I took to the hospital.Anne was absolutely ADORABLE pregnant! Below is her at the baby shower 8 months pregnant. I would just like to say she was still able to wear her size 2 jeans. I would bet dollars to donuts that I will never be a size two especially when I am pregnant!

Parrish Family Reunion 2009

Last weekend was the Parrish Family Reunion. It was so great to see the whole family. We had a photographer come to take pictures of the group. Below is Adam's Hobie Cat which provided a beautiful background for the group photo. It was a wonderful weekend filled with lake activities, amazing food (especially Joyce's chocolate cake), and good company. Below is my favorite picture from the weekend (although, I am not exactly sure why there are dots on my camera lens). The kids from left to right are Brooke, Marilyn Grace, Mac, Grant, Jack, and Matthew.
Below is my niece, Grace, looking as cute as ever.
Adam was so gracious to drive the boat all day (along with Ed and Steve). They took everyone skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing. It was quite the undertaking. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of the tubing experience with Ed and his two sisters, Joyce and Linda.
Here are three of the kids playing in their exclusive pool. I am pretty sure it was invitation only. From left to right is Grace, Marilyn Grace, and Mac.

Late Saturday night, the downstairs turned into a rock band concert. Here is the band post their last set. They just got done playing Journey's Don't Stop Believin'. I would like to point out Kelly's rock star face!

Monkey Joe's

My friend, Jessica, has been talking constantly about this place called Monkey Joe's that was opening in Lexington, SC. She was so excited that she wanted to be there before it even opened. I laughed at the idea but I must admit it was pretty cool to be among the first 10 people in line and given a pass for 10 free visits (worth $70)! Benson had a great time and dressed for the occasion by wearing a monkey t-shirt. Below is the beautiful Ryan family with Benson giving his "cheese" face.
Benjamin really got a great workout taking Benson up and down the slides but I'm not sure who had more fun.My friend, Beth, came into town from Oklahoma to be here for the birth of her brother's baby (Emerson). She was able to take Christian and Savanna with her for the journey. Unfortunately, she had to leave her other daughter, Shylan, at home. It was great to spend time with her and her kids. She is also pregnant again and is due in the fall! I thought it would be a great treat to take her kids to Monkey Joe's. It worked out perfectly to go on opening day with Jessica, Benjamin, and Benson.
Here is a picture of sweet Savanna and I. She was not too sure what to think about the experience at first but eventually warmed up to the idea of bouncing around.

Christian is growing up so fast. He was going up and down the slides as fast as possible. It was absolutely exhausting. I finally had to give up and just watch. It was quite a workout.

Of course, afterwards I had to take Christian and Savanna to my favorite cupcakery (thanks to Brooke) in Lexington called Bliss. It is amazing. You may think it is crazy to pay almost $3 each for a cupcake but once you have one I bet you would pay $5. On the way there, I kept telling them that they were going to taste the best cupcake in the whole wide world. It really made me smile when Beth said that once they returned home they told their grandparents that they had "the best cupcake in the whole wide world!"
