Getaway in Savannah (03-05 to 03-07)

My mom, dad, Anne Marie, and I headed down to Savannah for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately, Adam and Joey were out of town the weekend we planned to go. We all piled into one car that was loaded down with way more luggage than even one person would need for a week.
We took long walks around the city and along the river. I had never visited Savannah before and I fell in love with the moss-lined trees, history, and southern twang.
On Saturday we took a carriage ride through the historic city to learn more about the origin of the landmarks.
Our trusty Steed...

Below is Paula Deen's Famous Restaurant, Lady and Son's. We never ate there but people lined the streets at times to get in for something either fried or covered in butter- I bet it was DELICIOUS...
Our last night we had a fantastic dinner at Belford's. Everyone that we asked about the best restaurant in town directed us this way.
Of course the weekend ended to soon, as they often do, and we headed back home. It was a great weekend and the only thing that was missing was Adam and Joey.
